The BOMAG tandem rollers come with a customizable touchscreen that can be tailored to individual preferences. However, traditional control via rotary switches is still available as an option.

The asphalt manager compaction system is a game-changer in the world of asphalt and road construction, enabling quick and effective compaction results.

Adjusting the machine parameters is a breeze – operators only need to choose the paving layer.

Every aspect of the machine, from its various functions to equipment options, has been designed meticulously. Overall, BOMAG pivot-steered tandem rollers are highly dependable, long-lasting, and efficient.

Features & Benefits

Short set-up times.

The edge cutter of the tandem roller can be changed very quickly. Only three screws need to be loosened or tightened. And if the machine is to be operated with a chip spreader, this is also very quickly ready for use. All connections can be easily reached from the side.

The drum edge is always in view.

The windows on the new generation of BOMAG rollers are particularly large and extend very far downwards. The roller driver can see the edge of the drum from the side seating position with the window closed. This provides an excellent overview—a factor that increases safety on the construction site around the roller.

Help with reversing.

By means of an optionally available second monitor, which is then positioned at the top rear of the cab, the roller operator can keep an eye on all compaction parameters even when reversing. Even looking at the drum edge when reversing is no problem. The driver can see it via the additional mirrors in the cabin interior.

Oscillation with a split drum.

The use of a split drum is essential for a pivot-steered tandem roller to achieve large steering angles while minimizing shearing forces. The APO versions excel in compacting seams, hot-to-cold bridges, and areas close to buildings.

Water supply for a whole working day

With two redundant water pumps and a large tank underneath the cabin, the heavy tandem roller can work for an entire day without interruption. The tank can be filled from either side in just four minutes, and residual water can be flushed out to prevent frost damage.

Touchscreen, switch, or directly via the travel lever? The driver decides.

The driver can choose between controlling the roller conventionally with switches that can be felt or using the touchscreen or travel lever. The travel lever, steering wheel, and seat form a single unit for ease of use.
